Just received an e-mail from Edward Gaynor, the head of Collection Development at the Special Collections Library at UVA, about the UVA Quiz on this week’s cover. I didn’t tell Gaynor this, but I’ve always harbored dreams of becoming a librarian, especially since they’ve become so cool.

UPDATE May 9: Rutherford says “Did so” while Albemarle denies allegations on “Virginity Rocks” t-shirts

Albemarle School officials “vigorously” deny that teenage girls who wore “Virginity Rocks” t-shirts to school were ordered to change their shirts or turn them inside-out. Yesterday, Rutherford Institute attorneys sent a letter to Albemarle superintendent Pam Moran alleging that the girls were instructed to change or reverse their shirts and warning that the schools could face legal action. This morning, Rutherford says that while the school principal may have approved the t-shirts, “the message still has not trickled down to other school employees.”
