The area got its swankiest conference space last week as UVA President John Casteen cut the ribbon on the “Pavilion,” a $10 million, 9,000-square-foot event space, at the Boar’s Head Inn, which is owned by the University’s real estate wing. Hordes of local businessmen descended on the space the day after for the local Chamber of Commerce dinner, packing out the 5,600-square-foot grand ballroom.
