This year, we added a new category to the Best Of ballot: "Best place to eat it while mountain biking." Among the votes we received? "Burger King." "Greenwood Market." "Michie Tavern." "Out of a backpack." Truly, a varied and hearty smorgasbord of options for the thrill-seeking palate. But, um, folks? "Eat it" is biker’s slang for "crash"—as in, you’re bombing a single track on your hardtail and you face plant in a big patch of poison ivy. It’s got nada to do with food. We’re just glad that Burger King didn’t win the category.
