The 15th Annual Festival of the Book has revealed the list of visiting authors featured in this year’s fest, scheduled for March 18 to 22, 2009.
Adriana Trigiani, better known for her Big Stone Gap series, will be the luncheon speaker on Thursday, March 19, at 11:45am, at the Omni Hotel on the Downtown Mall. Her newest book, Very Valetine, will be published just in time for the festival. Tickets for the luncheon are $50.
Author of the New York Times best-selling Predictably Irrational, Dan Ariely, will be the feature speaker at the Festival Business Breakfast, Wednesday, March 18, at 7:30am. Ariely was recently appointed the James B. Duke Professor of Behavioral Economics at Duke University. Tickets for this event are $30.
Brad Meltzer is the author of The Book of Lies, a tale that recounts the Biblical murder of Abel by Cain and the unsolved case of the murder of Superman creator Jerry Siegel’s father. Meltzer will be the featured guest in the Crime Wave Luncheon, Saturday, March 21, at noon at the Omni Hotel. Tickets for this event are $50.
