When I first checked my e-mail this morning and saw the latest message from Weekly DaveSpeak, I could’ve sworn the headline read "Leroi Moore Out For Rest." And, though I completely misread the headline, I have good news: Leroi Moore will get some rest following an ATV accident outside his home.
The bad news is that the headline actually read "Leroi Moore Out For The Rest Of The Tour." Jeff Coffin, the sax player for Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, will fill in. (Pictures of Béla Fleck’s recent gig with Abigail Washburn at The Paramount are here.)
However, love conquers all—well, not literally, but figuratively—and some person(s) have started a local campaign to wish Leroi well. A colleague spotted a similar poster outside the Red Light Management office yesterday, and I found this tacked to a telephone pole near Second St. Can you feel the love?:
