Pie for the people

Psst! Wanna know how to make a Pi-Napo pizza?

First: Put together a group of eight to 10 people. Second: Call Pi-Napo and make an appointment between the hours of 11am and noon, or 2 and 4pm  (three or four days’ notice is preferred).

Here’s what to expect, says owner Onur Başeğmez: “First of all, we talk about the history of the pizza, and we are introducing our ingredients and also giving some details about how we make our tomato sauce and what type of cheese we are using.” After that, pizza pupils go into the cooking area to learn how to open their own crust, assemble the pies, and get an introduction to the wood-fired oven.

You’ll get a cooking lesson, a 12-inch pizza, and a fountain drink for $30 a person.
