A number of candidates for major local office have either announced their candidacy or announced that they will announce their candidacy. Here’s a rundown:
Board of Supervisors
Three seats are open. Denny King is running against Lindsay Dorrier, and Ann Mallek will run against David Wyant in the White Hall District.
Kevin Fletcher will challenge Dorrier in the Scottsville District.
Marcia Joseph, County Planning Commission chair, will challenge Ken Boyd in the Rivanna District.

City Council
Three seats are open. Incumbents David Brown and Kevin Lynch haven’t officially said whether they will run for re-election. Jennifer McKeever has already announced her candidacy.
