Oo, now this is exciting! This Saturday, the 26th, all you loyal readers will have the chance not only to say hello to Green Scene in person, but to get your own words on the blog! We’ll be at the Vegetarian Festival in Lee Park, 11am to 4pm, taking your comments about something green you’ve done in the last week.
Now, when I say "we" I don’t mean me. Instead, C-VILLE’s own Caite White will be repping at our table. This is good news for you, because not only is Caite a seasoned blogger, she’s a lot friendlier than I am. Look for her at a table that says things like C-VILLE and ABODE and Green Scene, and take a free apple and a copy of ABODE while you’re at it.
So what kinds of things should you talk to Caite about? Tell her if you refused a bag at the grocery store. Tell her if you’re running your car on veggie oil. Tell her if you’re teaching your kid to identify birds. Anything that helps move us toward a more sustainable world is fair game.
Caite will be blogging this LIVE, people—that’s better than being on the six o’clock news. Your own green deeds will be on the interweb faster than you can say "tofu scramble." If you can’t make it to the festival, check for her updates throughout the afternoon and see what your fellow greenies are up to.
Also, for part of the day, ABODE’s kitchen columnist Lisa Reeder will be on hand to answer any questions about local food: where to get it, how to cook it, why it’s so darn delicious, etc.
All in all, a plethora of reasons to come and say hello.
