Due to an editorial error, the photo caption of “Employee sues Milan for taking his tips” [Courts & Crime News, January 22, 2008] stated that a former Milan employee charged that the restaurant “stole” tips from its wait staff. To be more specific, the employee contends that Milan “retained” waiters’ tips in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. As C-VILLE reported two weeks ago, Milan filed an answer, which counters that the restaurant “received” tips as terms of employment and that it paid fair wages.
