Charlottesville Police search for wanted man
Officers responded to the 800 block of Forrest Street on Sunday, October 23rd at 8:53pm for a shots fired call. While officers were on the scene of the call, we were notified by Uva’s E.R. that a male victim in his early 20’s was brought to the Emergency Room. The victim of a gunshot wound to the abdominal area.
Would-be Landmark Hotel developer: “We’re gonna get it done!”
Tim Dixon, owner-developer of the award-winning Iron Horse biker hotel in Milwaukee and lately a partner to Landmark owner Halsey Minor, spoke to the Lifestyle/Boutique Hotel Development Conference in Miami yesterday and told the crowd that "boutiques" are "kicking the crap out of" national chain hotels and that the key to success in developing hotels is getting enough "funky money" (tax credits and other government grants).
