The alt-country ginger singer and sometime member of the New Pornographers, Neko Case, is coming to town on August 21, the Jefferson Theater announced today. She’s still touring in support of last year’s duly acclaimed Middle Cyclone, but here’s hoping we’ll get to hear some new stuff. Supporting act is Chapel Hill based "folk orchestra" Lost in the Trees. Tickets go on sale July 2 at 10am. Find more info here.
The theater also announced that blue eyed soulster Martin Sexton will be in town October 21. Says John Mayer, Sexton is "the best live performer I’ve ever seen." No word yet on an opener, but tickets go on sale July 9 at 10am here.
I would embed this viral video of Neko Case berating a fan at a New Pornographer’s show last week, but it’s not family friendly; this video of Dot from "Animaniacs" berating the devil will have to do.
