Best of times: “You seem to be able to get the same amount of work done with the same amount of people say in 1979 as you do today. We’ve taken on more work over the years, so they’ve always been good times.”
Worst of times: “When you had the 9/11 situation, it got really bad. We were having to wear masks and latex gloves to open mail.”
Strangest moment on the job: “Well, when they remodeled the first floor one time and we had to move everything to another building it was pretty strange because we had to move on the weekend and be ready on Monday morning to wait on customers.”
If he were a superhero, he’d be: “Super City Man, maybe. What we do is we do more with less. It’s not like normal government. You got to be flexible to changing circumstances all the time, like the gas situation. I’ve been ready for that for the past four years.”
