The WTJU Jazz Marathon returns with a week of on-air programming alongside a slate of stellar concerts. The live lineup includes Greg Weaver’s Limit Break 4 performing new arrangements of music by Cuban nueva trova legend Silvio Rodríguez. Saxophonist Sharel Cassity is joined by drummer Robert Jospé and other local luminaries for contemporary jazz. Ryan Snow’s Electric Band (pictured) channels the early electric bands of Miles Davis in both material and performance practice. And acclaimed blues guitarist Corey Harris draws from the musical traditions of the American South and their connections to African and Caribbean music. Free, 8pm.
