Happy Tuesday, all. Pick up a copy of this week’s C-VILLE to read about Mao’s Last Dancer, ATO Pictures’ first foray into independent film distribution; also on tap is a review of Saturday’s Birdlips and Wes Swing show at Rapunzel’s, which was the perfect way to spend that evening; and in this week’s Feedback column, I ask "If the Invisible Hand makes it, how will they get there?" and go on to write about their van; also, did you ever wonder what The POMP is, next to Random Row Books?
Apologies to everyone who is not named Amanda and has not already received an e-mail from yours truly. If that is not your name—which is the case for most of you—you have not won tickets to see LCD Soundsystem and Sleigh Bells on Saturday at the Charlottesville Pavilion. The good news? Tickets are still available, or if you have a friend who entered Red Light Management’s poster contest, vote for that friend and ask her or him to take you.
Feel free to vent below.
