The January 11 public auction of five parcels in the Meadows Estate subdivision, part of Patricia Kluge and William Moses’ luxury residential development Vineyard Estates, has been cancelled. In early 2010, Kluge and Moses bought back one foreclosed Meadows Estate lot during a public auction sale for $3.9 million. The lot was assessed at $2.7 million.

Financial troubles for the winery owners troubles did not stop there. In February 2009, Frank Hardy of Frank Hardy Realtors, Inc. filed a $1.9 million breach-of-contract suit against Vineyard Estates, LLC over two listing agreements. The suit was settled out of court.
