The eighth President of the University will be announced at a special meeting of the UVA Board of Visitors this afternoon at 2:30pm.
The announcement will be streamed live at http://www.virginia.edu/newpresident.
A reception for the new president will be held at 4pm at Newcomb Hall.
Current UVA President John Casteen announced in June that he would retire in August after 20 years at the helm of the University.
But just last week it was announced that immediately after his retirement, Casteen will be helping Virginia Community Colleges raise money as a new member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education.
