The Post readers choose Virginia Fifth Congressional District as blog pick

The Virginia Fifth Congressional District just won a contest in the Washington Post’s “The Fix” blog. With more than three times the votes earned by the second-place district (Pennsylvania’s Fourth) during the blog’s "Choose Your Own House Race" contest, Virginia’s Fifth will receive a bit of special attention from the blog.

Chris Cillizza, author of the blog, says that Virginia’s Fifth District won by a large margin. A table of results show that the district earned 57 percent of 472 reader votes. Maybe it’s because Sarah Palin named Congressman Tom Perriello a target in the 2010 elections?
