Tanael Joachim at The Southern 6/5

Comedian Tanael Joachim is back on the road with The Alien Everywhere Tour, bringing new material on love, death, grief, and immigration. The Haitian-born performer tackles darker subjects with incisive wit, pivoting between intellectual discourse and devastating zingers with disarming charm as he jokes about race and society’s idiosyncrasies. The Comedy Cellar and Gotham Comedy Club regular is also an op-ed contributor for The New York Times, bona fides that make his act especially poignant within the current political climate. $32.70, 8pm. The Southern Café & Music Hall, 103 S. First St. thesoutherncville.com
