The fast-food industry gets a bad wrap these days, what with the holier-than-thou diatribes of such messianic documentaries as Supersize Me! But, despite all better judgment, we stand up for Taco Bell and its Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco. Full strips of succulently simmered chicken, topped with crispy lettuce, tomato cubes, cheese, the special Ranch sauce, wrapped in a soft taco: The Ranchero Chicken is no meal to be ashamed of. Of course, we tend to polish it off with a Caramel Apple Empanada, some trickster’s excuse for an apple a day. But hey, wait a minute…that’s chicken, lettuce, tomato, and an apple! Not too bad, if you ask us. Urp.
