County Supervisor Dennis Rooker announced that he will run for re-election as Jack Jouett Supervisor. Charlottesville Tomorrow reports that the announcement was made at the beginning of the Board of Supervisors meeting this morning.
Rooker is not the only one whose term will end this year: Sally Thomas of the Samuel Miller district and David Slutzky of Rio are also up for re-election, but they have yet to announce whether they intend to run in the November elections.
Slutzky announced earlier this year that he won’t challenge state Delegate Rob Bell (R-Albemarle).
