Sonic Chambers Quartet at Visible Records 11/7

Blurring the line between improvisation and composition, Sonic Chambers Quartet pushes jazz genre boundaries in every performance. The highly collaborative project is co-led by New Orleans-based Byron Asher and New York City-based Tomas Majcherski, multi-instrumentalists and composers who have worked together for more than a decade. Borrowing from their experiences in avant garde theater and formal studies in philosophy and religion to inform their music, the duo is joined by long-time collaborators Matt Booth and Doug Garrison as they promote their latest album. $15–20, 7:30pm. Visible Records, 1740 Broadway St. cvillejazz.org
