Senator Mark Warner works the corners in Charlottesville

Hey, Charlottesville—is that a Warner on your corner, or are you just happy to see us? The former, it turns out. U.S. Senator Mark Warner appreciates a good hangout session; he even caught one in January, with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and admitted girl-kisser Katy Perry. Now, Warner staffers are making the rounds to hear your "specific questions or problems with federal agencies."

Staff members will take your concerns back to the Democratic senator, who recently said Republican Governor Bob McDonnell’s multi-billion dollar transportation plan is not fiscally conservative, and shared his hope that Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine would replace outgoing Virginia Senator Jim Webb. The event, titled "Warner on your Corner," is described as a sort of "constituent services on wheels" program.

Drew Densmore, Warner’s outreach coordinator and man-on-the-corner, will be at the Albemarle County Office Building from 11am to 2pm on a drop-in basis, and from 2pm to 4pm by appointment.
