Sean Samoheyl: Dance, puppets, dance! [VIDEO]

I met Sean Samoheyl after coming across a copy of his film, Thrift Store Odyssey, in Sneak Reviews, and got to know him a bit last summer. Samoheyl, who uses any bits of board and paper worth their weight to craft characters for his one-man puppet shows, has a few new stories in his repertoire and will bring them (and a few new videos) to Twisted Branch Tea Bazaar tomorrow night for "Big Tiny Puppet Show." Read below the photo for details.

Samoheyl’s stories are simple; mostly, they play like skewed morality tales and updated farces. But they take on a pleasant quality live due to Samoheyl’s skill as a storyteller: He’s quick to engage his audience and bring them in as collaborators in his narratives.

And, to help charm the Tea Bazaar audience even more, Samoheyl’s wife will open the evening with a performance by her women’s barbershop quintet, the Jessica Marie Quintet.
