The Paramount Theater announced its spring season this morning, and among the big names swinging through town are the folk interpreter Judy Collins, very loud comedian Lewis Black, timeless banjo wizard Earl Scruggs and family, South African gospel group Ladysmith Black Mambazo (who backed Paul Simon on Graceland) and my favorite froggy-throated, historically-interested L.A. songwriter, Randy Newman.
