When it rains, it pours—even inside UVA’s centerpiece, the Rotunda, which is currently struggling with a leaky roof. UVA asked for state funds to help fix a few holes where the rain gets in as part of a $50 million renovation project for the iconic building. UVA hoped to launch the renovation with $2.59 million in state funds, matched by $2 million in private contributions. However, according to news reports, the Rotunda fund request was removed from the proposed state budget in the most recent round of revisions. Time to start calling donors, UVA.
