Loudon Wainwright III and Richard Thompson come to Paramount Theater

Loudon Wainwright III may still be a "One Man Guy"…

And perhaps Richard Thompson only has room for one on his "1952 Vincent Black Lightning"…

But the two folk legends will make room for each other during their "Loud & Rich" tour this fall, which reaches The Paramount Theater on October 16.

My listening experience with both Wainwright and Thompson is limited, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my copy of Thompson’s I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight (you can also hear his influence on a bunch of local players, including Thomas Gunn) and have wanted to see Loudon Wainwright for some time. And if we’re lucky, maybe the pair will treat us to a cover of "A Guilty Conscience and a Broken Heart," which Wainwright performed on Judd Apatow’s "Undeclared":
