Former Mayor Maurice Cox (right) gives a tour of the 10th and Page neighborhood to a group of leaders from Moss Point, Mississippi, a town of 16,000 that was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. As part of their rebuilding process, Moss Point officials spent four days picking the brains of Charlottesville leaders in order to get ideas for redesigning their city. “I’m literally tearing inside at the outpouring of hospitality that not only exists tonight and this weekend, but in months past from the people here in Charlottesville,” said Moss Point Mayor Xavier Bishop during a March 8 reception. “We want your ability to be self-sustaining. We want your ability to give and to help others become like you are. That’s why we’re here: to be like you.”
