![]() Brown’s Cleaners on Preston says in a lawsuit that they didn’t lose Emily Feiner’s wedding dress, but Ben Feiner submitted a ticket suggesting otherwise. |
Plaintiff: Emily B. and Benjamin R. Feiner
Defendant: Brown’s Dry Cleaners, Inc.
What’s at issue: Whether or not a wedding dress was dropped off on May 29. Ben Feiner claims it was, and he includes in the court documents a ticket reading “clean and press only” written out to Feiner on May 29, though it doesn’t specify what kind of clothing he dropped off. Brown’s admits that he came by the store (and called weeks later), but denies that he dropped off the dress.
What’s at stake: A bride’s memories, a business’ reputation and $3,685.50 worth of wedding dress
What’s the status: The Feiners have appealed a ruling by a city General District Court judge in favor of Brown’s. Now it’s in the city Circuit Court’s hands.
