Judith Shatin’s music nominated for a Grammy award

I thought I’d caught them all in a post last week about the biggest awards in music, but apparently one local nod slipped through without mention: A new CD of UVA composer Judith Shatin’s chamber music performed by the Borup-Ernst Duo, Tower of the Eight Winds, has also been nominated for a Grammy. That recording has producer Blanton Alspaugh up in the category for "Producer of the Year—Classical." You may recall that the Borup-Ernst duo performed selections from that very recording for Piedmont Council for the Arts’ first ever Gala at the Paramount Theater in May. Way to look forward, PCA!
