Today it’s John McCain’s turn. The latest TODAY Show/NBC/Mason-Dixon poll has McCain ahead in the Old Dominion overall by three points, 47 to 44 percent.
The "Today Show" reports that Barack Obama is ahead in Northern Virginia by a 55-37 margin, and McCain leads the crucial Hampton Roads area by 48-44. Just yesterday, the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll put Obama ahead in the state overall by three points.
According to the "Today Show," if Obama gets to 60 percent in Northern Virginia, he may win the state overall even if he loses every other region.
The McCain campaign has recently opened an office at the GOP headquarters in the Albemarle Square Shopping Center, on Route 29, just a few blocks off Rio Road.
