Jefferson Theater now hosts Sunday mass

I somehow missed this in Friday’s weekend dispatch:

If what’s been holding you back from attending regular services is that your church doesn’t have two bars and an attached taco joint, this should pull the rug out from under you. As of yesterday, the Jerusalem Baptist Church hosts a weekly 9am Sunday worship at the Jefferson Theater—likely the first ever church to congregate at the theater, according to a release. (We imagine the bars are in fact closed for services.)

Let’s hope the band is good.

The Blues Brothers: The last time going to church rocked so hard.

 Where do you worship?
