- Tomorrow’s Feedback column welcomes The Honey Dewdrops back from tour, and takes a long listen to the Scottsville duo’s debut album, If the Sun Will Shine. One of the songs from the album, "How We Used to Be," is currently competing in the southeast regional round of the Mountain Stage NewSong Contest. (Sarah White’s "Sweetheart" is a previous winner.) Watch the Dewdrops’ live recording of the song below, and go here to vote for them. Or someone else…traitor.
- Fridays After Five has nearly come to a close for another year, but the sets during the next three weeks look promising. The finale? A decidedly flashy double-bill featuring In Technicolor and Tim Be Told, who recently released its debut EP (and who Feedback first caught at an open mic gig at Mudhouse). Remember, Tim Be Told won the UVA Battle of the Bands in 2008. And that battle has a decent track record, as far as giving us popular bands goes. (1, 2, 3.)
- Speaking of No. 1 up there, Sons of Bill penned a thank-you on the band’s website to thank C-VILLE readers for voting them "Best Musical Act (Other than DMB)." As always, the fellows use a good mix of charm and humor in the note, which you can read here.
