Pairing a stellar animated feature with a live score, Films Talk Back: The Adventures of Prince Achmed presents an evening of entertainment and insight. The 1926 silent film, written and directed by German master seamstress and costume designer Lotte Reiniger over three years, is inspired by Arabian folktales. Film lecturer and musician Matt Marshall adds musical accompaniment to the narrative, and hosts a discussion following the film. Free, 7pm, Piedmont Virginia Community College, V.
