Drought watch '07 continues

C-VILLE has been following local water levels ever since a drought watch was declared in late July, and the news isn’t getting any better. This week’s figure for local stream levels is 19 percent, down from 23 percent the previous week. (The number reflects how the flow compares to seasonal norms.) Meanwhile, Sugar Hollow Reservoir was 5.5′ below full, down a foot and a half from the previous week. In short? It’s still pretty dry out there, no matter how bloody humid it feels.
