Dear mydowntownmall.com,
We both know what you’re doing. Brick Watch has ignored it for some time now, but it’s just gone on long enough. We have to say something.
You’re copying us. There’s no denying it. We’ve got the evidence:
• When Brick Watch profiled a worker, well, you did the same.
• When Brick Watch took a picture of the workers having lunch at Enoteca, you did the same (and from the same angle! Shame on you!):
• When Brick Watch wrote a blog post about the snow day, you got a little crazy and added an exclamation point to inject some personality (which everyone knows Brick Watch is famous for).
• And two days ago, when Brick Watch walked block by block to document the rebricking progress for readers, we looked online yesterday and, by golly, if you hadn’t done the same thing:
And so we ask you, even if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, we’re tired of doing all the heavy lifting. We appreciate your obvious opinion that Brick Watch has all the bright ideas when it comes to blogging, and we assure you, we have an arsenal filled with many more.
Now that the cat’s out of the bag, we’re curious to see what you’ll come up with on your own. In fact, consider that a challenge.
Fondly,
Brick Watch
P.S. Thanks for not copying our brick cozy. That shit’s ours.
