Crib notes on student exam schedule

As students cram for their final exams and pack their bags, townies wait with baited breath until they are gone. With such things to look forward to as free flowing traffic on University

Townies can reclaim the western half of the city this week.

Avenue, easy parking on the Corner, and a jaunt along the Lawn without the threat of stampeding streakers, there’s reason to be excited. Here’s an idea of when the western half of Charlottesville will be accessible again.—John Robinson

Tuesday, December 16: The big day. Exams end for undergrads, as well as for the nursing school and the education school. Charlottesville loses 15,000 residents.

Thursday, December 18: Law school students (population: 1,195) finish exams. First-year students flock to Three for ’80s night in an effort to emulate departed undergrads.

Saturday, December 20: As exams end for med school, 600 students unhook caffeine IVs and promptly fall asleep.

Already gone: Darden’s 792 students, who finished exams December 12, and architecture grad students, who ended the 15th.
