Craig Ferguson coming to the Paramount

Do you like staying up late to watch close-ups of a handsome guy making jokes? Then you’re going to love this: Just confirmed with the Paramount that Craig Ferguson, the Scotch funnyman and host of the Late Late Show, is coming in October. Pollstar has October 17 listed, but waiting for further confirmation on the date. But looking at his dates, seems safe to blot out a few days in anticipation of a pre-Halloween Ferg-fest.

Also coming to the Paramount come September is the Kingston Trio, according to the band’s website. The influential vocal group helped lead the folk revival in the late ’50s and ’60s, starting with their take on "Tom Dooley." Beach Boys member Al Jardine passed the trio’s take on "The Wreck of the John B." onto Brian Wilson, who was not a fan of the trio, but turned it into the Boys’ "Sloop John B." And what’s more, they’re still kickin’!

Apologies to everyone who went to the Jimmy Cliff and SOJA concert last night to find that it was postponed "due to travel issues." Talk about a rude boy. Was it that there were too many rivers to cross, and Cliff just couldn’t seem to find his way over?
