Check Chris Daughtry’s “Poker Face,” ’cause it’s marvelous [VIDEO]

Has the work of the "once and future ‘Idol’" been eclipsed by that of an electro-pop sorceress? The New York Times’ review of the latest album from Fluvanna County ex-pat Chris Daughtry and his name-nabbing band, Leave This Town, praised the perpetually pumped pop star’s steadfast and stoic ’90s rock diet, but asked that he trim some of the lyrical fat. (I wonder if Ace will be upset by those comments?)

What’s more, the first portion of the review is framed around Daughtry’s recent cover of a Lady Gaga track, "Poker Face":

Sometimes it pays to keep things short and sweet; I think I’ll do the same for Monday. Enjoy Daughtry’s "Poker Face."
