Yesterday (January 30), an Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office deputy fell prey to an infuriated rooster while serving a warrant on a person who failed to show up for a court date. Deputy Tom Wood caught the force of the rooster’s attack below the belt before retaliating with a can of mace that proved ineffective.
