Cathy Harding, editor in chief of C-VILLE Weekly, has announced her resignation after nine years at Charlottesville’s news and arts weekly newspaper. Harding will become the Development Director for the Columbia Journalism Review, a leading journal and website of media criticism and reporting that is published through the Columbia School of Journalism in New York City. Harding will remain with C-VILLE through the month of March.
“I am incredibly proud of the work I’ve done at C-VILLE. Its team is rich in talent and its commitment to publishing great journalism, design and advertising is unparalleled—it’s been a dream job,” says Harding, whose association with C-VILLE began in 1999 as Deputy Editor. “I am excited to return to New York and rechannel my many years of experience as a hands-on journalist and editor towards the growth and financial development of a prestigious magazine like CJR.”
C-VILLE Publisher Frank Dubec said C-VILLE’s search for the next editor would begin immediately. “While we’ve got big shoes to fill, we are confident we will find the right person to carry on Cathy’s outstanding work.”
