Paul Ting developed an interest in wine while stationed near Napa Valley during his time in the United States Air Force. Subsequently, he obtained a certificate in winemaking from the University of California, Davis, and holds professional certifications in sake, cider, and shochu. A Virginia resident for most of his life, Ting is an enthusiastic supporter of the Virginia wine industry. He is honored to have judged the Homestead Norton Cup Challenge, Shenandoah Cup, Monticello Cup, and Virginia Governor’s Cup competitions. Ting is a co-founder of Virginia Wine Benefit, a nonprofit organization dedicated to partnering with our local wine industry to support charitable causes.
