Set the timer, choose your topic, write the script, select your cast (random drawing), rehearse, lights, action, and it’s show time. So goes the frenzied creative collective of 24/7, a wild theatrical ride that brings together a wide network of local talent in writing, directing, and acting to produce seven finished plays in 24 hours. The contagious electricity provides enough buzz to sell the show out every year and keep the directors awake, at least until the final curtain falls.
Saturday 1/25. Live Arts, 123 E. Water St., 977-4177.
Free news is good news!
Nearly $1 million a year goes into the work you’re reading—covering local government, spotlighting the arts, and telling the stories no one else does. If you value that, help fund it for $10 a month (or whatever tax-deductible gift you can afford). Save the free word.
