The suspect in the September 30 homicide on Commonwealth Drive has at last been apprehended. Daniel Lee Dove, a 28-year-old Louisa County resident, was arrested in Hyattsville, Maryland, at around 11am this morning by U.S. Marshals.
Dove, who faces a first degree murder charge, remains in the custody of the Prince George County jail until an extradition hearing can be held. Police obtained arrest warrants on October 14 and found several vehicles abandoned by Dove in their pursuit.
Dove is accused of slaying Emilio Morales, 17, at the Autumn Hill Apartments at 2200 Commonwealth Drive. Two other men were injured. Morales was the second man killed in a county homicide this year.
