Does anyone have a clue why baristas serve to-go coffee in not one cup but two? Have they not heard about those insulating sleeves that are right over there, by the cream and sugar?
Perhaps these folks are frustrated grocery baggers who, if they landed their dream jobs, could distribute thousands of unnecessary plastic bags per day. Think of it: a bag for a single candy bar! Double-bagging the cheese! Shooting dirty looks at customers who claim not to need a bag!
Until their ship comes in, they’re staying in practice by plowing through twice as many coffee cups as they should.
All I know is, I forgot my reusable mug today and got a double-cupped coffee and still burned my hand.
