McCain takes Kentucky and South Carolina, Obama wins Vermont

The polls have just closed in Virginia.

MSNBC is calling the Commonwealth too close to call.

While our state is still up for grabs, MSNBC is projecting McCain will win Kentucky and Obama will secure Vermont. Vermont has three electoral votes and Kentucky has eight.
CNN is reporting that the latest polls in Kentucky show McCain up 51 to 42 percent.
Obama is leading Vermont 57 to 36 percent.

McCain is also the projected winner of South Carolina and its eight electoral votes. For now, the Republican candidate is leading 16 to 3 in electoral votes.
