Actor Troy Garity may not get along well with his mama in Lake City; in the film, Garity is forced to stay with his mother, played by Sissy Spacek, while he hides from a drug dealer (who I hear plays a mean guitar). But Garity and his real mom? Why, they get along famously!
According to publicist John Kelly, Garity placed a call to the Virginia Film Festival to ask whether his mother, actress and activist Jane Fonda, might attend the fest for Lake City‘s Thursday night screening. So, if you see a Fonda look-alike cruising around Culbreth Theatre, suck in that gut, ladies and gents—it just might be the real deal:

Lake City screens at Culbreth Theatre on Thursday at 7pm; tickets are available for $15-20. Check C-VILLE tomorrow for more festival highlights.
Anyone who caught Santogold‘s opening set for Jay-Z on Saturday might recognize some of Fonda’s aerobics moves. Watch Santogold’s two dancers in the video below—jazzercise, anyone?
