NEW C-VILLE COVER STORY: Painting the town red

Some people locally are working to keep us from retreating completely to our own private bubbles. When C-VILLE spoke with him for this week’s cover story on mural art, co-organizer Greg Kelly acknowledged that “public art is a very tricky arena to be in.” How do you paint something that makes people proud but also makes them think? Organizers plan to do at least two murals a year, and some of that art they hope will get us thinking and talking about people and events we often ignore.
