Photos from John Yoo’s Miller Center forum event

Before Bush administration lawyer and law professor John Yoo—also the author of this and this—took the podium at the Miller Center of Public Affairs, the first protestor was out of his seat, addressing the audience.

"Please, don’t support this," he said. "You have the choice to leave." To which a second member of the audience responded: "We have the right to not listen to you anymore, either."

And this was largely how Yoo’s visit to the Miller Center—his first since a 2003 forum titled "Civil Liberties in Times of Stress: The American Patriot Act, Its Precedents and Their Consequences" (available here)—proceeded. Expect more on c-ville.com soon; in the meantime, here are a few photos from the event. Were you in attendance? Leave your thoughts below.
