The most revealing section of the Places29 Master Plan has finally been released to the public: the implementation table.
The table includes the projects that the county needs to support growth, development and the updating of infrastructure for the next 20 years.
The following estimated capital and operating costs are for public projects only, but they do not include land or right-of-way acquisition and utility costs.
Total price-tag: $ 267 million
Total dollars for first 10 years: $136 million
Total transportation dollars for first 10 years: $119 million
High priority projects:
• Expansion of southbound-westbound ramp at Route 29 and 250 Bypass with auxiliary lane to Barracks Road – $2,100,000
• Widening of Route 29 to six lanes from Polo Grounds Road to Towncenter Drive – $16,000,000
• Construction of Hillisdale Drive north of Hydraulic Road – $26,000,000
• Construction of Berkmar Drive Extended – $10,500,000
Total transportation dollars for second 10 years: $131 million
High priority projects:
• Design and construction of Route 29/Hydraulic intersection with a single point urban interchange – $34,000,000
• Replacement of at-grade intersection with grade separation at Route 29 and Rio Road – $36,000,000
