Albemarle County’s GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms is temporarily laying off 300 of its 600 workers, according to today’s Daily Progress. The workers, who will be without work for two weeks, will not receive an hourly pay but will receive benefits.
A month ago, GE Fanuc announced that it was laying off about 50 people permanently.
